Mount Allison University (MTA)
Founded 1839 as Mount Allison Wesleyan Academy, became degree-granting Mount Allison Wesleyan College 1858, and acquired present status and title 1886. Although conducted on a non-sectarian basis, the University is a Church-related institution (United Church of Canada). As such, it is interested in the all-round development of students.
